How Easy Is It to Roll Up a Swimming Pool Cover? Adelaide Pool Heating Customers Show You

One of the most common questions Anthony receives from new customers considering a swimming pool heating solution is this: “The cover sounds great, but how much of a hassle is it to roll up every time we want to swim?”

It is a fair question.

A pool cover that sits unused because it feels like too much effort defeats the purpose entirely. So rather than just tell you it is easy, we thought we would show you.

See Pool Covers In Action For Yourself

In this short video, two of our Adelaide customers demonstrate exactly what it looks like to roll back their swimming pool cover before a swim. Watch how long it takes, and how little effort is involved.

Why Our Covers Are Easier Than Most

Not all pool cover rollers are created equal. Many suppliers use a 2:1 ratio roller system, meaning for every two metres of cover you pull, the roller turns once.

Adelaide Pool Heating specifies a 3:1 ratio roller system, which means the cover retracts three times faster with each turn.

The result is noticeably less effort and less time standing at the poolside before you can jump in.

This detail matters more than it might first appear. A cover that takes genuine effort to operate is a cover that gets left off. And a cover that gets left off means heat loss overnight, higher running costs, and shorter swimming seasons.

Anthony recommends pool covers as part of every swimming pool heating system design because they are one of the most cost-effective ways to retain heat. But that recommendation only works if the cover is actually used, consistently, by real families with busy lives.

The 3:1 roller ratio is one of the reasons Adelaide Pool Heating customers actually use their covers.

Built Into the Plan from the Start

When Anthony consults with new customers, he asks a straightforward question early in the process: “Will you actually use a pool cover?”

Not everyone will, and he designs systems accordingly. But for those who will, he makes sure the cover and roller system are specified to make the habit as easy as possible to keep.

That consultative approach, looking at how a family actually lives rather than just specifying equipment by the numbers, is what sets Adelaide Pool Heating apart.
